POSITION TITLELab Technician POSITION OVERVIEW The Laboratory Technician position isresponsible for performing a wide variety of laboratory functions in aprecise and accurate fashion to assist professional staff. The incumbentis responsible for timely and accurate lab experimentation to supportnew product and technology development. This position is located out ofour Encapsys Headquarters in Appleton, WI. Work hours are M-Fri, 8-5pm.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES This person will be expected to provide: Expedited,high-value studies and experiments. Enhanced effectiveness of seniorresearcher support. Accurate and timely work to support rapidprototyping. Improved lab processes. Set up, operate, and maintain labequipment/instrumentation. Conduct lab microcapsule studies as directedby senior researcher. Support capsule product form development. Gatherand report data in spreadsheet form in a fashion consistent withdepartment protocols. Communicate results to appropriate customers. Thisperson will be expected to: Identify and propose ways to improve lab andexperiment processes. Participate in project groups in support ofdepartment objectives. Request materials and equipment to support labwork or testing. QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED Associate degree (or higher)in laboratory science or related technical field High school diploma orGED with 4+ years of experience also accepted Proficient with Microsoftbased software, including Excel and Word. Strong organizational andcommunication skills. Detail-oriented and safety focused. Ability tocomplete tasks with little supervision.
