Job duties: Visualize and identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency in process and resources. Automate processes to eliminate toil and increase self-serviceable options by designing and developing automation using strategic tools like IPSOFT or Automation Anywhere. Improve efficiency in existing automation processes on premise and on Cloud. Measure the success of automation and calibrate the sustainability of automation overtime. Test and deploy automation tools and scripts for production readiness. Provide support after deployment and ensure automation operates as designed. Configure the automation process to meet compliance and audit requirements. Propose industry best practices and collaborate with engineers to implement best practices. Implement cross-functional automation solutions to support underlying database platforms like Oracle, Sybase, and SQL Server. Document the automation process and educate other team members on automation. Assist on reducing Netcool/Moogsoft alerts via IPCenter. Automate and streamline unstructured requests and incidents through training the machine learning model and reducing total Full Time Equivalent. Analyze server health to find root-cause of issues and remediate through automation. Works on solutions using Oracle DB, SQL developer PL/SQL, workflow automation routines, testing and documentation. This position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year as a Software Developer or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years as a Software Developer or related occupation in lieu of a Master’s degree and one (1) year of experience. Requires experience with: JavaScript; PowerShell; C#; database platforms including Oracle, Sybase, and SQL Server; Robotic Process Automation Tools including IPSoft and Automation Anywhere; and SRE tools used for monitoring and observability including Splunk and AppDynamics.
