POSITION SUMMARY: The Employee Health and Safety Nurse (EHSN) develops and maintains the employee health program for employees, students/residents, and volunteers of the organization according to policies and procedures and applicable regulatory standards. The EHSN helps employees navigate workman’s compensation and assists them in addressing work related illnesses and injuries. The EHSN ensures the maintenance, storage, accuracy, and confidentiality of employee health records and provides internal and external reports as required. The EHSN coordinates with the Risk and Compliance officer on the Exposure Control plan and Infection Control Committee. The EHSN promotes a culture of health and safety by creating an environment that supports employees’ optimal health using best practices and evidence-based techniques. The nurse coordinates employee care to effectively promote health, manage illness and injury, prevent disability, and facilitate return to work.
COMPENSATION: $30.40-$32.38 hr/DOE + $2,500 retention bonus

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Required
Associate’s degree in nursing
Unencumbered, Montana or Wyoming RN license or the ability to attain
BLS Certification or complete upon hire
Montana or Wyoming Driver’s License

Bachelor’s degree in nursing
Experience:

Three years of relevant nursing experience
Preferred
Experience working in either employee health, public health, infectious disease, infection prevention, or occupational health
