　　As an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech), you will support emergency department or urgent care by performing basic emergency medical procedures as directed. * Under supervision, assists nurses and physicians in the performance of their functions. * You will perform assessment of vital signs, thermal applications, non-sterile soaks, application of simple dressings and splints, stool and urine collection. * You will also prepare patients for examinations/treatments including draping patients, opening sterile supplies, set up and removal of IV's. * Assists in collection of patient history and ensures confidentiality of records, as well as, clean and prepare rooms between procedures including changing of bed linens and restocking of room supplies. * You may transport patients and/or provide coverage for the unit secretary.

　　This position is Full-Time (72 hours per pay period) with a rotating varied work schedule that may include weekends and holidays. This position is located at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.

　　Preferred Qualifications: * One (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred. * EMT certified
