We are currently seeking an Embedded IT Support Specialist to support our Patuxent River customer. Our Embedded IT Support Specialist will act as the NMCI point of contact responsible for handling day-to-day IT issues. This opportunity offers a diversified workload with endless opportunities to develop new and highly desired skills in the IT Support Environment. The incumbent will assist the team with NMCI related actions within their program, including Ordering, Data Accuracy, Delivery Completeness Reporting, Customer Assistance, MAC (Move, Add, Change) Implementation, Seat Management, and Customer Satisfaction.
Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:
Place help desk calls for the PMA end user and following through to ensure end-user issue resolution.
Resolve end-user IT hardware and software-related issues, including VTC equipment, printers, scanners, fax machines, stand-alone systems, creating and maintaining outstanding customer relations.
Create and maintain employee and seat order data, including profiles for new employees, ordering new seats, transferring assets, and terminating seats as required.
Follow procedures for ordering outside of NET / COS to support specific requirements.
Maintain a working knowledge of proper NET / COS procedures through attendance at training sessions.
Respond to data calls in accordance with specific directions, maintain local records (spreadsheets, databases, etc.) to effectively support customer requirements.
Assist customers if they encounter obstacles in process for receiving their new equipment and receiving applicable documentation by forwarding issues for resolution.
Provide SharePoint Administration and RDT&E System Administration support.
Install, configure, and maintain an organization's local area network (LAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers.
Perform System monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems.
Review System and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups.
Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access.
Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses.
Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree or allowable substitutions. Allowable substitutions include an Associate’s Degree plus two years of additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category or an additional four years of work experience with no degree.
Required Experience: Three to Ten years of experience performing duties described in the functional description.
Candidate must be cleared to a Top Secret clearance and able to maintain this clearance level. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
