Elementary School Counselor

　　Position Overview:

　　We have a full-time School Counselor opening in a growing and highly supportive school in Plainfield! At this school, you will find that the teaching staff, administration, and families work collaboratively to achieve student success. In this position, the School Counselor will focus on supporting Elementary students, grades 3-5. The School Counselor will be responsible for managing a caseload of 13 students, across two classrooms.

　　Job Responsibilities:

　　Work full time, Monday-Friday from 8:55 AM-3:30 PM.

　　Support Elementary students, grades 3-5.

　　Manage a caseload of 13 students.

　　Advocate for the emotional, social, and academic well-being of students.

　　Provide counseling (1:1, small group, whole group) to MTSS students.  

　　Collaborate with staff, families, and community resources.

　　Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student safety and success.

　　Support student goals as described by their IEP or 504.

　　Qualifications:

　　Master’s Degree is required

　　Eligible Professional Educators License (PEL) with School Counselor endorsement is required

　　Preferred experience with Elementary students is preferred
