Summary: An Electroplater successfully performs a multitude of tasks that support the process of taking a corrosion prone object and turning it into a coated object being protected from corrosion. This process is called electroplating, electroplating involves the application of a thin layer of metal solution to an object, using electric current to affix the metal particles to the item's surface. Tasks include but are not limited to: handling hazardous chemicals, material handling, verbal and written communication, and basic math. The Electroplater will also need a number of skills while performing plating tasks. Skills include but are not limited to: trouble shooting, working effectively with others, time management and ability to predict "cause and effect" in relation to plating.
