　　Job Code: 2023:0402-226Location: Yuma Proving Ground, ArizonaFT/PT Status: Full TimeBusiness Sector: 024 - Ballistics InstrJob Description:Applies working electrical and mechanical knowledge to operate and perform routine maintenance on various ballistic electronicsmeasuring and firing safety devices and their peripheral equipment, under the guidance of senior technicians. Providesoperations and preventative maintenance on various electronic measuring and data acquisition systems, to include but not limitedto, system setup, electrical instrumentation, tear-down, and transportation throughout Yuma Proving Ground (YPG). Performsother duties as required to complete the assigned mission. This position is covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.Pay Rate: $25.99Education/Licenses/Certifications/Experience Requirements:Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.Must have one of the following: 1-year Electro-mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation related experience ORAssociates Degree or Military training.Job Skills Requirements:Must be able to work independently with minimal supervisionMust possess basic computer skills.Must be proficient with hand tools.Knowledge of basic electricity and electronic theory.Knowledge of test equipment like multi-meters and oscilloscopesPhysical Requirements:Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions including summer temperatures peaking around 120 degreesFahrenheit.Must be capable of frequent squatting, crouching, stooping, kneeling, and standing.Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.Must meet the physical requirements necessary to perform operations outlined, performed, and stated in the SOPs forBallistics Section.
