Summary You will serve as a ELECTRONICS MECHANIC in the Production Trades Division, Industrial Execution Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. You will independently perform depot level overhaul, disassembly, repair, modification, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, alignment, installation and maintenance on electronic equipment of moderate complexity or a system limited complexity. Responsibilities You will set up and operate stand-alone Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) which is used to test and troubleshoot Weapon Repairable Assembly (WRA). You will select and load the test program for the unit under testing. You will evaluate fault reports to determine if an item should be returned to the repair section or if repair or adjustment can be made so testing can continue. You will work from manufactures specifications, schematics, block diagrams or technical orders. You will use a variety of test equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, signa/pulse generators, oscilloscopes and frequency counters. B. Have the ability to perform the full range of tasks including: 1) Overhaul, disassembly, repair, and modification, assembly, testing troubleshooting, alignment, installation and maintenance on electronic equipment; 2) Evaluate, perform functional tests, trouble shoot and determine the extent of repair required; and 3) Using a variety of hand tools to effectively execute repairs, and replace defective components. C.
