Description of Work Unit
Trades Services exists to support Facilities Management, Division of University Operations, and Colorado State University strategic plans. To provide, within the limit of its allocated resources, quality trades maintenance services, including all structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, as well as small construction project management. These services are to create and maintain an aesthetically pleasing and functional environment that meets or exceeds the university’s needs for instruction, research, and outreach.
The Electronic Security Services group exists to provide quality services including but not limited to security, intrusion and panic as well as card access, that contribute to the safety, security, convenience and quality for the benefit of the University community in order to support the goals and objectives of the University, Facilities Management and Trades Maintenance Services.
Position Summary
This position operates, maintains, and manages the automated electronic access system and security and panic alarm systems. Position acts as the agency authority in managing the campus- wide CCURE electronic card access, Bosch security network and CCTV systems, including infrastructure, all associated intrusion and panic alarms. This position regularly makes decisions at the operational level to preserve the integrity and reliability of critical alarm reporting platforms according to policy and code compliance thereby enhancing a safe, secure, and accessible campus environment.
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must demonstrate in the application materials:
Three years of technical experience repairing, performing maintenance, installing, modifying, calibrating, certifying, or fabricating equipment and facilities related to the work assignment. Equipment and facilities may be primarily telecommunications equipment and facilities, media equipment and facilities, precision measuring equipment, or other electronics equipment and facilities.Substitutions
The following may substitute for the minimum qualifications of this position:
An associate degree or successful completion of the equivalent of sixty semester hours of training at an accredited college or university or recognized non-correspondence technical school with thirty semester hours of course work related to the work assignment may be substituted for two years of the required experience.*Please note, unofficial or official transcripts must be attached with this applicationPreferred Qualifications

Directly related state service experience
Three years in general alarms work which included at least 1 years in advanced alarms.
Advanced alarm experience that includes circuit board configuration, Inovonics programming, and D6600 receiver setup etc.
Card Access and programming experience
Demonstrated Written & Verbal communication skills
Professional customer service
Advanced knowledge of programming electronic access, security, panic and/or fire alarms.

Develops, operates, programs and maintains critical C-Cure 9000 Card Access platform with Administrative Station (software) including security subnet computers, ICU tools, laptop computers and troubleshooting tools. Performs System administration of C-Cure I-Star panels, electronic firmware, programming parameters and end user processes of such use. Interface with CSUPD dispatchers, departmental operators, Facilities Management key desk and other staff to provide training and operation understanding of C-Cure monitoring station software. Provides extensive, complex or innovative programming solutions for campus clientele in developing creative customized solutions in the implementation and function of card access related events, actions, I/O and other such system interfaces. Implements methods to make the existing card access platforms more reliable and cost effective. Participates in planning and establishment of migration process from the existing 9000 platform to the next factory recommended platform and release versions.
Provide, assist and carry out an installation schedule for cardkey access systems for campus client base and specifically for Facilities Management Access Services staff members and Facilities Management RCS (Remodel and Construction Services). Including training, instruction, oversite and mentoring as related to quotes, bid documentation, construction, T&V and warranty phases and procedures to maximize electronic systems quality and reliability. Schedule hours and methods to provide least disruption of building occupants. Maintain records for consistency in the maintenance of existing equipment and documentation for the building files. Generate maintenance reports of system condition of records and future references. Assist in design of such systems as installed by contractors and CSU Construction Services.
Currently:
Develop, operate, maintain, program and install CCURE 9000 electronic access platform with administration station including subnet computers, ICU tools, laptops, and troubleshooting tools. Perform system administration of I-Start panels, electronic firmware, programming parameters and end user processes of use. Interface with university departments, i.e., university police department, research staff, Facilities Management key desks, etc. to ensure operational needs are met including system training. Provide extensive, complex, innovative programming solutions for solving challenging issues. Implement methods for ensuring system platform is more reliable and cost effective. Participate in planning and establishment of migration process to the next factory recommended platform and release version. Assist in design of systems as installed by contractors working on behalf of Facilities Management.

Bosch Receives, CSUPD workstation, and alarm account database with its associated RPS , RKP , 06200 and C*Cure programming software. System administration of Bosch panels and programming parameters. Interface with CSUPD dispatchers and staff to provide training and understanding of Event display screens on the customized automation. Implements methods to make the existing Bosch security Network more reliable and cost effective. Participates in planning and establishment of migration process from JCI Metasys system to the online Bosch security Network.
Identify, Troubleshoot and repair problems within electronic systems. Diagnose communication, networking and system problems. Use test instruments including Volt-Ohm-Milliamp meter, tone generators, signal generators, oscilloscope, AC/DC power supplies, mega-ohm meters, logic probes,
EPROM programmer, D5200 programmer, impedance meter, decibel meter. Use a laptop computer to generate/update archive database, upload/download system data and install new and revised software changes. Identify and repair connection problems to Qwest and CSU -Telecom lines. Provide technical support services to other second shift trades employees as necessary.
Currently:
