Description
Pay Range: $38-$40 per hour.
Job Purpose: Safely and effectively plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers or other components
Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of systems.
Inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects or the need for adjustment or repair.
Knowledge of VFD’s and PLC’s
Work from ladders, lifts, scaffolds or roofs to install maintain or repair electrical wiring or equipment.
Advise management on weather operation of equipment is safe.
Maintain license and certification needed to meet government regulations.
Place conduit, pipes, or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls or other concealed areas and pull wires to complete circuits between boxes.
Some basic boiler knowledge.
Repair or replace wiring, equipment or fixtures using hand or power tools.
Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment.
Fasten small metal or plastic boxes to walls to house electrical switches or outlets.
Construct and fabricate parts.
Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit or moving heavy objects.
Provide assistance during emergencies.
Interact with others in a professional and ethical manner
Follow department and company procedures
Keep up regular attendance and punctuality; regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the smooth operation of this company

Position Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Journeyman Electrician License or higher
3 ore more years of electrical experience in an industrial plant.
Less than 5% travel requirement
Physical Demands/Requirements:
Constantly (over 2/3)
Uses maintenance/mechanic tools including electrical hand tools
Ascend/descends equipment to perform maintenance on plant equipment
Must be able to position self to maintain equipment or perform duties of repairing band maintaining equipment.
Must be able to move around industrial equipment in manufacturing facility, garage, facility and grounds.
Must be able to detect and observe equipment in need of repair.
Frequently (1/3-2/3)
Communicate with staff in the process of repairing equipment
Move and transport material, equipment and tools up to 70 pounds with or without specialized lifting, moving and rigging equipment.
Moves across wet/slippery and uneven surfaces.
Occasionally (under 1/3)
Exposed to work in outdoor weather conditions
Must don fall protection PPE while operating manlifts working from high places.
