　　The ancestors of the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation existed many centuries ago as a community of people…a Tribe living together, farming, hunting and fishing to survive.

　　Job Purpose:

　　Installs, repair and maintains power, lighting, communications and control systems

　　Job Duties and Responsibilities:

　　(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)

　　Installs and maintains electrical equipment by routinely inspecting electrical systems, repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and fixtures, performing preventative maintenance services on circuits, transformers, and lighting, identifying and correcting defective or damaged electrical systems, and planning and installing wiring, conduit and electrical apparatus in the buildings as needed.

　　Maintains safe work and storage area by cleaning and organizing designated storage area, storing tools and materials, repairing or replacing old or broken tools following established procedures, and following established safety standards while using tools.

　　Education and Experience:

　　Essential:

　　High School Diploma, High School Certificate of Completion, G.E.D

　　Electrician Trade School Certificate from an accredited school or currently enrolled

　　California State Apprenticeship or Trainee Certification

　　Desirable:

　　Ability to read, interpret and apply technical information from manuals, drawings, schematics and blue-prints

　　Basic knowledge in electrical building code requirements

　　Basic knowledge of Local, State and Federal guidelines as related to position

　　Ability to perform electrical installations, maintenance and repairs of 120/240/277/480 vac, single and 3 phase devices

　　Skills and Knowledge:

　　Essential:

　　Basic knowledge in electrical building code requirements

　　Basic knowledge of Local, State and Federal guidelines as related to position

　　Ability to competently use hand tools and power tools

　　Ability to use Power tool (i.e. drills, saws)

　　Ability to communicate effectively in the English language

　　Ability to read in the English language

　　Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations

　　Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

　　Ability to walk, stand, stoop, crawl, kneel and reach

　　Ability to work in confined spaces

　　Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds and lifts

　　Ability to interact effectively with team members and guests

　　Ability to maintain professionalism and composure

　　Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions

　　Ability to accept constructive criticism

　　Ability to appear for work on time

　　Ability to work in a smoking environment
