  POSITION SUMMARY

  Just 65 miles from Center City Philadelphia, Allentown is near many major Northeastern U.S. cities, which makes it an ideal location for manufacturing and distributing consumer goods. We utilize thermal processing and high-speed canning to produce varieties of our Friskies®, Beneful® and Pro Plan® brands—product lines we have carefully produced, packaged, and shipped since 1958. Allentown balances the identity of a busy industrial city, as well as a beautiful rural environment that we’re truly proud to call home.

  As an Electrician Class II, you will be responsible for the maintenance of all plant systems, which will include facilities, unloading, processing, packing and warehouse operations. You will troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical equipment. Working in a safe manner at all times, you will play a major role in machine reliability and process improvements across the plant. Our electrician’s work includes both predictive and preventative maintenance.

  This role will be required to work 6PM-6AM.

  Troubleshoot electrical controls systems including motors and PLCs

  Properly use basic diagnostic equipment including volt/ohm meter, wiggie, ammeter and megger

  Proper usage of PPE equipment while operating in the MCC rooms

  Installation of sensors

  Install, troubleshoot and maintain switch gear, control wiring and components, overcurrent and overload protection for plant motor(s) including three phase systems

  Troubleshoot and maintain plant electrical and electronic equipment to competent level including operator interfaces, process controllers, power supplies, etc.

  All other duties as assigned

  Requirements

  High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  2+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, military, or related environment required.

  The pay for this position is $36.09.
