　　Summary

　　Responsible for designing, developing, and supporting hardware and software used a laboratory environment, including computer systems, circuit boards, hardware/software interfaces, instrument control and data acquisition processes.

　　Job Functions

　　Support existing software applications and hardware apparatus by identifying and isolating defects.Design, develop, test and document software systems that interfere with laboratory instrumentation.Design, develop, document, test and troubleshoot circuits and other electronic components.Capture, analyze, and translate test method reequipments into production test solution specifications.Ability to apply calibration procedures as part of a diagnostic process.Diagnose failures in production testinf systems

　　Education and Experience

　　Advanced software experience in C# requiredSoftware experience in Delphi desiredAbility to reverse engineer existing equipment (i.e. documenting something that is already built)Combination of Scientific technical knowledge and electrical / electronic knowledgeStrong EE fundamentals with familiarity in high speed signals, sensing, senor polling, flammable gas control circuitsHardware troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of electrical characterization equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.)Working knowledge of schematic design and PCB layoutCompensation: $100,000 / Year
