This position is located in the Boulder Colorado office. PURPOSE
This position takes a leading role in creating electrical and systems designin compliance with SEMI and NFPA standards. This individual would beresponsible for the detailed electrical design which integrates andcoordinates the function of multiple subsystems on our cryostats through aninterface to custom software. Subsystems include vacuum, motion control,vision, temperature measurement, AC and DC power distribution, andcryogenic systems. Design of subsystem interface would include serial,Modbus, ethernet, digital and analog I/O signal management. Thorough andcomplete documentation of all designs, support of assembly technicians,system verification, testing, and troubleshooting are part of the scope ofwork required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProficient in detailed electrical design (in SolidWorks Electrical orsimilar) for complex assemblies, cable harnesses, and system documentation.Ability to create and document system design in compliance with SEMI S2,S8, and NFPA79 standards.Ability to implement design for ease of manufacturing and cost reduction.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIREDRequires 3+ years of experience, preferably with cryogenic test andmeasurement system and electrical design in compliance with S2, S8, NFPA79.Understanding of design and manufacturing processes as related to complexscientific instruments, with a pertinent engineering or science degree. Anadvanced degree or significant industry experience is desirable.Test and verification of component and system designs will be required.Experience in electrical system roubleshooting is vital in this role.Attention to detail, good time management, and good written and verbalcommunications skills are important.Candidate should be able to effectively coordinate with various departmentsand stakeholders and be able to work both independently and within a team.
The pay range for this role in Boulder, CO is between $94,100 and$123,480. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactormaintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variationsin education, training, skills, relevant work experience, businessneeds and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range basedon the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
