PRICE ELECTRIC is seeking an experienced construction Project Manager to be an integral team member in helping our Fort Myers branch meet demand and expand into new markets. Independently managing commercial and industrial electrical service projects from inception to completion with support from a PM Assistant, a Project Manager will proactively ensure projects are completed properly and timely and fulfill customer and company expectations. Primary responsibilities of the position include:
Reviewing assigned project's plan, specification and scope to understand material, labor and other costs
Planning the tasks within the timeline and the resources needed to do those tasks within the budget allotted
Communicating with preconstruction, warehouse, job site supervision and project management teams to coordinate resources and keep them well informed
Managing field operations to ensure scheduling, workflow and production are met while industry health and safety standards and company policies are adhered
Coordinating and managing external resources including vendor selection and subcontractors
Monitoring actual project performance to plan and actively coordinating adjustments to achieve expected results
Maintaining good working relationships with customers and contractors by understanding their expectations, addressing potential issues, and resolving issues satisfactorily
Ensuring timely completion of project documents and necessary inspections, approvals and certifications by appropriate agencies as well as accuracy and delivery of pay apps, billings or invoices to appropriate parties with customer follow up as needed
Coordinating close out, analyzing project performance, gathering feedback and developing and implementing changes for continued improvement
Supporting branch objectives through networking, business development and team back-up
Utilizing construction management, scheduling, MS Office and virtual meeting software effectively
Position Requirements:
At least 5 years of electrical construction project management experience or equivalent to quickly become a trusted, technical go-to contact for assigned projects
Design build experience is preferred
Ability to read and understand plans and specifications for projects, financials, cost data, contracts, agreements and other legal documents
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, listening, information probing, collaborating and negotiating skills
Proven process-driven and organized project management
Proficient financial acumen and mathematical ability to calculate various figures and amounts
Analytical decision making and problem solving
Resourcefulness, time management and follow through skills necessary to meet commitments
Demonstrated strong independent judgment and business insight to balance company and customers' interests
Possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable insurability for regular business travel
