Electrical Principal Engineer (Signal Integrity)

Our Electrical Engineering team puts the spark into the full hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production. It takes experts in system architecture definition, design, analysis, prototyping, sourcing the debugging and validation of layouts or routes to deliver state-of-the-art products for a changing world. We work closely with designers, cross-functional teams within Dell Technologies and suppliers to make sure electronic designs meet a range of requirements, including schedule, feature set, functionality and quality, as well as industry standards.

What you’ll achieve

As an Electrical Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development activities associated with electronic designs, signal integrity simulation and verification, PCB raw material and stack-up evaluation on Networking Switch Products. Leads and manages all electrical activities inside Dell and ODMs from development to sustain phase. Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver high quality and cutting-edge products for our customers

You will:

Work with the design team, cross functional teams, suppliers, and key technical partners to ensure the design meets requirements for schedule, feature set, functionality, cost, quality, reliability, regulatory compliance, and industry standards compliance.

This includes feature definition, supplier selection, development process execution and improvement, integration testing, fault isolation and resolution, manufacturing release, and resolution of design issues found in the field.

Review original design manufacturer and sub-tier vendor capability to support product development and production

Duties include all activities necessary to take a design from concept to production including, architecture definition, schematics, component selection, debug, test, issue resolution and factory ramp support. Candidate will be expected to work under and deliver to date-driven schedules and write and analyze requirements, functional specifications, design specifications, test plans, and documentation.

Essential Requirements

Bachelor/Master EE with 6-8 years experience on Signal Integrity simulation and verification of CPU and NPU ASIC design in Networking Switch Products.

Hands on experience handling Oscilloscopes, analyzer with strong methodical troubleshooting knowledge desired.

Familiar with ECAD tools like Cadence Allegro ,CAM350 and able to review provide feedback on schematics board layout.

Knowledge on board SI (Signal Integrity), board stack-up, DRC constraints, etc and cooperate experience with engineering function teams(such as: SI/DCDC/ME/SV/Reliability/EMC…etc).

Excellent written and verbal communication in English
