　　Job Description

　　AECOM is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to be based in Virginia Beach, VA.

　　This position is expected to begin in May 2024.

　　The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

　　Under the direction of a Sr. Electrical Engineer, the successful candidate will perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.

　　Creating electrical plans and details with the use of Revit or AutoCAD.

　　Utilize lighting software to perform lighting calculations.

　　Assist with the electrical design of medium and low voltage power distribution, lighting, lightning protection, and grounding systems for multiple sectors including Corporate Workplace and Commercial buildings, DoD, and Mission Critical projects.

　　Work under supervision of a senior level team member.

　　Qualifications

　　Minimum Requirements:

　　Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.

　　Must have completed one year of study.

　　Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　A solid understanding of Ohm's Law.

　　Strong written and verbal communication skills.

　　Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.

　　Experience with AutoCAD and the ability to learn Revit is a plus.

　　This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Virginia Beach, VA . The selected candidate must be available to work in Virginia Beach, VA on a scheduled basis

　　Non-Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (Virginia locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $16.52 - $22.71/hr.
