Reporting to the Director of Engineer, the Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and maintain electrical systems for Sportsman Boats. The Electrical Engineer must conduct electrical system analyses, troubleshoot electrical issues, and ensure that all electrical systems meet regulatory standards and safety requirements
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Design, test, and implement electrical systems for 20-35” boats
Troubleshoot and repairing electrical issues
Work with other engineers and technicians to ensure that all electrical systems are functioning properly
Conduct research to identify new technologies and techniques for improving electrical systems in boats
Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all electrical systems are integrated properly
Ensure that all electrical systems meet safety standards
Participate in boat testing to ensure that electrical systems are functioning properly
Requirements
Experience with marine electrical systems strongly preferred
Proficiency in CAD software
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required
Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.
Experience in the marine/boating industry
Work Environment
This job operates in an office and manufacturing plant environment and is expected to be highly familiar with all production operations, and to regularly visit all significant company operations.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, lift, and bend for 9 hours or more daily
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:00am – 2:45pm, this position requires some work outside of normal operating hours to include evenings and weekends.
