The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience with the design of educational, federal, and commercial facilities.Position Requirements:Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, majoring in Power and Energy SystemsEducation, Commercial, Federal (NAVFAC), or Ports experience preferred.Minimum 2years of experienceExperience using AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and RevitPrior experience working on education, federal, or port projects.Possess strong record-keeping and organizational skills.Working Knowledge:National Electrical CodeWashington State Energy CodeUnified Facilities Criteria - preferredETAP/SKMMicrosoft Office SuiteRevit a plusAutoCAD a plusDuties:Pre-Design EngineeringPerform field surveys for the design of electrical systems, gather information, and prepare site assessment reports.Prepare electrical schematic designs.Design EngineeringDesign power single line and riser diagramsPerform electrical calculations (arc flash, coordination, short circuit, voltage drop, load flow) using ETAP/SKM.Design low voltage and medium voltage infrastructure.Understand and utilize CAD/BIM standards.Have a working knowledge of National Electrical Code, Washington Codes and Energy Standards to design medium voltage and low voltage electrical systems.Coordination among different disciplines, such as mechanical, plumbing, telecom, civil, structural, and architectural.
