Job Title: Electrical Assembler

Job Description

We are currently hiring Electrical Assemblers for the largest global manufacturer of Ground Support Equipment in the aviation and aerospace industries.

Responsibilities

Assemble electrical components and wiring equipment using tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, soldering irons, splicing tools, crimping tools, etc.

Read and interpret drawings and sketches.

Maintain a daily time log of work done on manufacturing and/or production travelers.

Perform sub-assemblies for custom-built GSE units built for various clients including Southwest Airlines, Delta, US Government, and United Airways.

Complete other assigned duties as needed.

Essential Skills

6 months of electrical experience in some capacity.

Ability to take accurate measurements with a tape measure.

Experience using a meter.

6 months experience using hand and power tools.

Additional Skills Qualifications

Experience in assembly, mechanics, automotive, brake jobs, automotive technician, electrical, generators, mechanical inclination, blueprint reading.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

You will be working in a large manufacturing facility in a production setting. Initially, dressing in jeans and a shirt is acceptable, and you will be provided with a uniform within a month. All necessary tools will be supplied, and steel-toed boots are required. The work environment can be chaotic at times due to project deadlines and the number of people working to complete tasks. The shifts available are 1st shift, Mon-Fri; 6:30am-3:00pm and 2nd shift, Mon-Fri; 3:00pm-11:30pm. Overtime is not mandatory but highly preferred, especially during busy seasons.

Job Type Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
