  The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist for Cytiva is responsible for evaluating developing, and implementing, EHS policies, procedures, programs, and training which enable the site to maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and company standards, and improving our EHS Management System.

  This position is part of the Environmental Health & Safety Department located in Westborough, MA and will be on-site. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

  In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  Partner with business/functional/DBS leaders on the development and implementation of Annual Action Plans that drive closure of open issues and improvements which deliver improved EHS performance.

  Perform risk assessments and define preventive measures to improve safety and reduce/eliminate EHS related business risks.

  Raise EHS awareness and build EHS competencies by defining, setting up and delivering training, supporting implementation of 5S and kamishibai processes and developing and/or reviewing work and safety instructions

  Assist EHS Mgr with the completion of internal and external audits or assessments and help coordinate actions to meet objectives as set out in ISO14001, health and safety, and business continuity management systems

  The essential requirements of the job include:

  Bachelor of Science in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, related technical or scientific discipline with 3+ years experience in EHS activities supporting a manufacturing site

  Regulatory knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and Massachusetts DEP regulations

  Ability to evaluate and assess EHS risks and develop appropriate corrective-action plans to address deficiencies in comparison to regulations and internal policy, protocol, and standards.

  Project and program management skills

  It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  Ergonomic evaluation and improvement

  Management of Change Processes
