We pride ourselves on moving through the process quickly, and you can be sure of transparency and prompt communication.RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensuring alignment of environmental health and safety policies with local, state, and federal regulations.Develop, implement and manage comprehensive occupational health and industrial safety programs, including but not limited to Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP), heat stress, traffic safety, hearing conservation, respiratory protection, fall protection, electrical safety, lockout/tagout, confined space, powered industrial equipment, hazard communication, and PPE programDevelop, implement and manage various environmental protection programs, including but not limited to storm water protection, spill prevention control and countermeasure plan, hazardous material / waste management program and sanitary sewer management program.Ensure compliance to all Company EHS requirements as well as local and governmental requirements - - with the ultimate goal to provide a safe and secure workplace for all employees, visitors, vendors, and guests.Conduct safety training with all levels within the organization, including but not limited to: industrial fork-truck, LOTO, confined space.Conduct EHS incident investigations to determine and implement root cause corrective actions. Leverage lessons learned and implement continuous improvement actions across the site.Perform risk exposure/hazard assessments, indoor air/environmental quality investigations and safety inspections; recommend and follow up on corrective actions which support the ultimate goal of protecting all employees, communities and the environment. This includes machine guarding and knowledge of automated equipment / robotics.Coordinate or lead planning, preparation, implementation, execution and recovery of emergency or crisis management events, employee injury events, environmental pollution or permit deviation events, fire safety events or other EHS risk events.Responsible for managing the ISO14001 audit as the EMS Coordinator and successfully passing that audit.Building comprehensive management tactics that measure compliance and drives improvement and performance objectives as well ensure continuous improvementBeing a subject matter expert on many topics in environmental health and safetyBeing a technical advisor to internal customers that work for the companyConduct needs analyses for company environmental health and training programsPartner with plant's leadership and serve as a subject matter expert regarding the interpretation of federal, state, and local EHS regulationsAlign corporate and plant EHS goalsLead, develop, EHS safety committeeLead EHS audits and inspections developing corrective and preventative action p
