Applied Materials is seeking an experienced project manager to lead EHS Internal / External audit and M&A programs. The individual will be responsible for conducting audits at our global sites in support of Applied Materials’ Environmental, Health, and Safety quality management system (QMS), which includes corporate compliance audits, internal/external audits for ISO14001 and ISO45001. Additional responsibilities include project managing EHS activities for company’s mergers & acquisition (M&A) projects. This position reports to the EHS Centers of Excellence Director.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinate with ISO certification body on Applied Materials external audits and help maintain Applied Materials EHS ISO certification.
Act as the company’s EHS lead auditor and main point of contact for internal audits and coordinate with internal EHS stakeholders, summarize audit findings and complete audit reports.
Develop and communicate audit schedule to internal stakeholders and execute assigned audits.
Verify closure of previous audit findings
Generate and report out metrics on performance and effectiveness of Applied Materials EHS audit program.
Educate stakeholders in regulatory standards and expectations and consult in the development of QMS processes and procedures consistent with ISO and internal standards.
Manage EHS site assessments for M&A projects, including due diligence activities. Work with regional EHS team and consultants on M&A activities.
Identify EHS risks during M&A projects and communicate key findings/actions to internal M&A team. This would include arranging for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and due diligence report outs to executive management.
Develop quarterly reports for executive management on audits and M&A activities.

Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required - B.S. level degree or equivalent in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Facilities EHS, Industrial Hygiene, or a related science/engineering discipline.
Preferred - M.S. level degree or equivalent in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Facilities EHS, Industrial Hygiene, or a related science/engineering discipline.
Experience:
Required –
8+ years in auditing and/or comprehensive Environmental Health and Safety
Prior experience with EHS Management System and ISO certification process
Prior experience with completing site assessments for M&A activities preferred.

U.S. Salary Range:
$132,000.00 - $181,500.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
