Responsibilities You will carry out daily activities based on individual descriptions of children’s development and learning. You will create a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children. You will set up displays and bulletin boards. You will ensure safety and sanitation of children through constant supervision, effective arrangement of space, and proper maintenance of equipment. You will conduct daily, visual checks of children as prescribed by Child Development procedures. You will complete and submit required reports in an accurate and timely manner. You will communicate with parents information about child’s activities during the day. You will plan, coordinate, and conduct activities for program participants based on observed needs of individual children and youth. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate one year of general experience in federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled. Education You may also meet the minimum qualifications through education and/or combination of education and experience by satisfying one of the following: Successfully completed at least two full academic years of education above high school. OR Have a combination of both specialized experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
