Position Summary
The Educational Program Coordinator will function as part of a dynamic team to compile and coordinate educational programs and materials to inform students, staff, and faculty of resources, offerings, and initiatives which the Spartan Community. The Educational Program Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of department programs. The ideal candidate is experienced in health promotion and will have a passion for supporting systems-level campus well-being. This staff member will work to provide organizational and administrative direction for individual and group programs and facilitate educational workshops and discussions. The Educational Program Coordinator will: Organize administrative components of the Health Promotion intervention strategy Manage intervention meetings, programs, courses, and educational events Coordinate information gathering from meetings, evaluations, and stakeholders to improve strategies and interventions. Use findings to make recommendations to department staff in order to contribute to decision making for short- and long term planning. Coordinate structural-level intervention to address an individuals knowledge and behaviors utilizing the social norms approach. Collaborate with campus and community partners through campus-wide coalitions and workgroups. Conduct presentations and workshops to educate students, faculty, staff, and community partners Represent University Health and Wellbeing as a team member in staff meetings, committees, and conferences.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Educational Theory and Methodology and/or a specialization in the designated area of expertise; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in planning and overseeing seminars and conferences including public relations, organizing and disseminating training materials and information both written and web- based; budget and records maintenance and computer support; experience in database, spreadsheet, word processing, desktop publishing, knowledge of HTML programming and web site development and management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Desired Qualifications
Experience in health promotion Experience preparing and presenting educational materials Experience coordinating the administration of assessment and/or evaluation initiatives Experience utilizing on-line survey instruments (e.g. Qualtrics) Experience with a tiered intervention strategy Experience working in a higher education setting. Certification as a wellness coach or completion of the certification within the first year.

Special Instructions
