About the Role & Team
As an Education Instructor, you will interact with Walt Disney World guests and present animal and conservation content to groups of students or adults at one of the following locations: Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Epcot, or off property within the local community. You will communicate the appropriate conservation messages on topics such as wildlife natural history, animal behavior and conservation.
You will report to the Education Manager.
This interest will be for Full-Time and Part-Time.
What You Will Do
Deliver interactive conversations and presentations that are accurate, engaging, and encouraging
Speak to large groups of children and adults
Work in a dynamic, fast-paced, diverse, and team-oriented environment
Operate a company vehicle, including a 15 passenger van
Required Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 3 days a week scheduling availability, including weekends, variable shifts, and holidays for Part-Time, full availability for Full-Time
Successful problem solving and decision making skills
Experience working with multi-aged groups with an interactive, engaging, non-lecture approach to instructing
Capability to walk and stand for long periods of time, both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions
Some roles require working around water, working at various heights and the ability to lift 25 pounds
A valid U.S driver’s license for a minimum of five years and ability to acquire a FL license
Must pass a Disney Department of Transportation Compliance Driver’s Record background check and Company Driving Tests
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient in multiple languages
Experience delivering animal content and conservation messaging
Education
Completed College course work in Education, Biology, Zoology, Wildlife Management, Environmental Science, Communications, or related fields is required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
