Introduction
Ecosystem Engineering Technology Engineer contribute to the co-creation of Proofs of Value (PoV) and Minimal Viable Product that help the partner demonstrate business value, leading to enabling and embedding of strategic IBM Security Software technologies (i.e., QRadar Seim, Verify, Guardium) in partner solutions.
Your Role and Responsibilities
The Ecosystem Engineering Technology Engineer is responsible to help guide and support partners in embedding, sell-to, resell and influence scenarios with IBM's strategic technologies. Activities include deal support with partners selling to clients (i.e., PoX, RFX) and co-creating with partners (Joint Solutions, Assets, embedding of IBM technology). The Technology Engineer is part of a cross-functional team that delivers a unique co-creation experience for partners to accelerate and scale the embedding and use of IBM's strategic technologies to/in partner solutions. They use contemporary technologies and approaches to design, develop, test, and co-deliver solutions across the IBM Technology platform; They work closely with the Ecosystem Engineering: Solution Architect(s) to determine the feasibility of the solution and collaborate with the partner's and other Technology Engineers to implement a comprehensive solution. Ecosystem Technology Engineers are asked to specialize in a brand or set of capabilities to provide deep technical skills in their area of expertise. Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Required skills:
Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, or related fields at time of application.
8+ Years: Distributed application and systems architecture design and implementation.
5+ years engineering and/or technology experience (e.g., technology field, Services, Consultant, Specialist Team Unit, Technical Sales, system integrators, developer, project manager, sales).
5+ Years: Experience in one or multiple security related fields such as cryptography, network, host, audit, compliance, risk management, application security, penetration testing
5+ Years: Design/implementation/consulting experience with Enterprise applications
3+ Years: Experience in infrastructure and network architecture
3+ Years: Understanding of industry regulatory and compliance requirements that apply to cloud-based technologies.
3+ Years: Experience in multiple of the following areas. Data protection, identity and access management, network and application protection, threat detection and continuous monitoring, compliance and data privacy, data residency, security orchestration automation and response (SOAR), security information and event management (SIEM)
2+ Years: Experience building and integrating cloud security solutions for real-world environments in large-scale production applications.
2+ Years: AWS Architecture Design Consulting and/or Delivery.
2+ Years: Red Hat Open Shift offerings & technical architecture.
2+ Years: IBM Hybrid Cloud Software and Capabilities.
High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
The ideal candidate will have a breadth of knowledge across cloud computing topics and AWS, as well as hands-on expertise in topics from three or more of the technical areas below:
Masters in business, computer science, computer engineering, or related fields at time of application.
Relevant industry certifications (CISSP, CISA/M, CIPP/CIPM/CIPT)
Experience with multiple AWS services related to Security highly desirable. Including Amazon Identity and Access Management (IAM), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Key Management System, CloudHSM, AWS Organizations, Artifact, Web Application Firewall, Shield, Guard Duty, Inspector, Security Hub, Config, Network Firewall, Macie, Secrets Manager, Artifact, Audit Manager
Experience with IBM Security products such as Qradar, Guardium, Verify, Cloud Pak for Security (CP4S) and cartridges highly desirable.
One or more of the following AWS Certifications: AWS Certified Security Specialty, AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate, AWS Certified Solution Architect - Professional.
One or more IBM Certifications from the following categories: IBM Certified Solution Architect, IBM Certified Associate Architect, IBM Certified Analyst, IBM Certified Associate Analyst, IBM Certified Administrator, IBM Certified Associate Administrator, IBM Certified Deployment Professional
