The Application Architect will collaborate closely with development teams and subject matter experts to design solutions for enhancements, integrations, migrations, and other system needs. Additionally, the Application Architect will research new technologies, including the building of prototypes, to identify and prove business value in applying new technologies to our systems. A strong aptitude for designing detailed solutions for systems and a passion for technology are essential for this role. An exciting career of growth and development awaits the Application Architect that joins our team.ResponsibilitiesOversee the design process for application software;Implement and recommend viable architectural approaches that support long-term maintainability, extensibility, and interoperability of enterprise applications;Identify and evaluate potential risks in systems in relation to data integrity, security, and disaster recovery;Provide clear guidance to software development teams regarding software development patterns and proactively monitor the adherence to accepted patterns;Contribute to the shared private code repositories after aggregating feedback from the software development teams;Maintain a versioning and governance approach to private code repositories, and ensure that applications are leveraging this code as appropriate;Build and test prototypes;Liaise with software development teams to craft and automate deployments;Conduct code reviews, security reviews, and architectural reviews, and provide solutions/improvements as necessary;Complete other projects and responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or closely related;8+ years of experience in Software Development;Experience with a cloud-based platform (Azure) is a plus;Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures;Expert knowledge of APIs, Databases, and server-side language (e.g. C#);Expert understanding of Front-End Frameworks (e.g. Angular);Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies, systems and processes;Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills.#LI-HybridMedpace OverviewMedpace is a full-service clinical contract research organization (CRO).
