　　Basic Job Functions:

　　The EAF 3rd Helper is responsible for the safe and efficient operationof the furnace at all times. Responsibilities include but are notlimited to:

　　Performing minor maintenance repairs

　　Performing regular equipment inspections

　　Operating forklifts, cranes, bobcats, man lifts and other equipment

　　Taking steel and slag samples and preparing and analyzing slag

　　Working as a team to clean and organize the furnace deck

　　Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore,candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead,and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeepingstandards at all times.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　Prior EAF 3rd Helper experience.Previous Melt Shop experience.Overhead crane experience.Detailed Selection Criteria:
