Dual Teacher

　　The opportunity: The Dual Teacher is the primary leader in the classroom and ensures the academic, enrichment, social and emotional development of their assigned scholars. As the Dual Teacher, you will lead the provided academic reading and math curriculum in the morning, as outlined by our program model, and your own designed enrichment offering to provide rigorous, engaging lessons to scholars in the afternoon. As the Dual Teacher, you will also be responsible for ensuring that your assigned Teacher Assistant(s) support both the morning and the afternoon learning by engaging with scholars, leading small group lessons, and supporting the overall success of our scholars in the classroom.   

　　Successful applicants will be current academic teachers with a strong desire to support scholar growth over the summer months and have the passion or knowledge of an engaging enrichment topic as well as ability to provide daily lessons to support the learning and development of the scholars.

　　The Details 

　　Key Deliverables: 

　　3 months gain in academic skills

　　Ability to work the entirety of the program (including attending training prior to program start)

　　Experience and Education Requirements : 

　　Valid State Teaching Certification required; Math and/or Reading endorsement preferred

　　Previous classroom experience required

　　Bachelor’s Degree required

　　Must be able to create lesson plans for enrichment offering
