In this position, you will seek to:
Produce, proofread, and edit utilizing Windows11, Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Outlook, Visio, NetDocuments, pdfDocs, Adobe Acrobat, Best Authority, Microsystems DocXtools, BigHand and other related applications, including but not limited to memos, letters, charts, briefs, pleadings, agreements, deeds, leases, benefit plans and other such documents. Assist with document conversion and clean up; create and revise complex legal documents adhering to Firm styles and guidelines, as well as create and format spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations that require advanced knowledge of the software.Facilitate the creation and editing of Table of Contents and Table of Authorities.Transcribe digital dictation using specialized transcription software.Assist with the creation of Closing Binders.Provide support to troubleshoot document related issues.Stay abreast of technology and software changes within the Firm in order to maintain a high level of expertise in document preparation. Provide training and how-to assistance on document production and related applications to customers, as requested. This may include creation of training materials and/or conducting one-on-one or small group training sessions.Deliver a high degree of attention to detail and quality and that statuses are clearly communicated to the customer and within the Document Services team to ensure successful service delivery to the Firm.Successful candidates will have:
A strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Advanced skills and knowledge in Microsoft Word, including styles, advanced formatting, Table of Authorities (TOA), Table of Contents (TOC) and redlining and proficient knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Litera Compare, time entry.Strong customer service skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.Thorough knowledge of legal documents and formatting with ability to interpret business documents.Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, when necessary.Five (5+) years of experience in a law firmHigh school diploma or equivalent required. College degree, related college coursework, or a technical certificate preferred.
