Description:
· Directly supports the organizational Configuration Management (CM) effort and performs CM activities associated with configuration identification, change control, release management, status accounting, physical and functional configuration reviews and audits
· Participates in CM planning, policy implementation and CM plan development at the program level. Oversees setup and control for developmental and product components, participates in identification/marking of baseline product components
· Produces status accounting metrics and other metrics regarding effectiveness of the CM process.
· Participates in source code, document, and implementation
· Reports on CM activities and maintains status accounting records
· Conducts process audits, work with project and QA management to identify/resolve quality issues
· Supports established Change Control process, participates in process improvement initiatives
· Develops and conducts CM training, supports Local Configuration Control Boards (LCCB)
· Develops, coordinates, maintains and enforces CM plans/processes/procedures to ensure artifacts are identifiable and maintainable
· Schedules, conducts, and documents CM activities such as LCCB
· Provides guidance on maintenance of project asset inventory including licenses and warranties
