　　Job title: Discover - Discover GCU Host (NFWS)

　　Position Summary/Purpose: The purpose of this role is to s erve as a GCU Ambassador to prospective students who attend the Discover GCU trip.

　　Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:

　　Transporting Discover Guests from the airport to campus

　　Support and promote GCU’s Doctrinal Statement

　　Execute weekly event operations

　　Present on trained information to groups of guests

　　Provide positive and safe experience for guests

　　Ensure inventory is adequate per event

　　Ensure rooms are adequately cleaned and prepared for events

　　Additional Tasks as assigned

　　Equipment Used and Responsibility:

　　MS Office Suite

　　Point of Sales (POS) systems

　　SkyTouch

　　Qualifications:

　　At least 21 years old

　　Have a valid drivers license

　　Willing to undergo a background check

　　Experience with youth, preferably in a camp environment

　　Flexibility and enthusiasm a must

　　Excellent communication skills

　　Outgoing and comfortable speaking in front of various groups

　　Campus living and extracurricular activities within GCU strongly preferred to be able to provide first-hand experience to visitors

　　Open weekend availability is a must

　　Must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week

　　Experience/Education:

　　Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

　　Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.

　　Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.

　　Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

　　You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.

　　Physical Requirements:

　　Standing: 2-4 hours a day

　　Walking: 2-4 hours a day

　　Lifting: Occasionally

　　Carrying: Rarely

　　Pushing: Rarely

　　Bending: Rarely

　　Squatting: Rarely

　　Kneeling: Rarely

　　Climbing: Rarely

　　Reaching: Occasionally

　　Grasping: Frequently

　　Fine Eye to Hand Coordination: Continuously

　　Driving: 6-8 hours a day

　　Work Environment: Work is performed primarily in a van or outside, subject to variations in temperature and weather, equipment noise and dust.

　　Pay Rate: Minimum Wage

　　Anticipated End Date: June 30, 2024
