  Full-Time

  Montana Technological University provides a comprehensive benefits package for all eligible positions that includes health, dental and vision insurance, mandatory retirement plan with employer contribution, partial tuition waiver, and a wellness program.

  The Director will organize and administer all aspects of the Montana Technological University TRIO Talent Search program, including but not limited to;

  • Assume leadership of Talent Search program, provide administrative oversight to program operations

  • Develop, execute, monitor and evaluate the six standardized project objectives of grant

  • Establish, monitor, and administer funds of grant

  • Collect student achievement data through collaboration with staff, target schools and data warehouses at OPI and

  OCHE as well as National Student Clearinghouse

  • Hold responsibility that all 510 student files (both digital and hard copy) are in federal compliance

  • Create and submit the annual performance report in compliance with federal regulation as well as create school level

  annual reports that address local administrators' points of interest.

  • Identify, select, train, and supervise the work of a Talent Search Coach in each of the target schools

  • Provide leadership for effective parental and community involvement

  • Ability to work weekends and evenings

  Required Qualifications:

  Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, Student Personnel, Public Administration, or related field

  • Training and experience writing federal grants

  • Experience and or connections within the Butte, Anaconda and Deer Lodge School Districts. Supervisory experience, providing professional development to staff

  • 3 years responsibility in supervision and program management in higher education

  • Experience in designating, managing, and implementing TRIO or similar programs

  • Demonstrated ability to network with university departments and collaborate across programs

  • Have a similar background to participants

  • Experience using budget software

  Physical Demands

  • Ability to chaperone student field trips.

  • Willingness to work extended hours during peak event times and annual performance reporting season
