  Your New Role:

  The Director, Theatrical Development is responsible for the development of material for feature films.

  Your Role Accountabilities:

  Identifies Alloy properties as well as outside material to be adapted, developed, pitched and sold to movie studios.Finds writers/directors and new talent to fill open assignments.Generates story/meeting notes and writer/director lists as needed.Maintains competitive development reports and tracks all competitive projects.Performs additional related responsibilities as required

  Qualifications & Experience:

  Minimum 6+ years relevant work experienceMinimum 2 years of executive level experience in development at a studio, network, streamer or production companyHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredCollege degree in related field strongly preferredKnowledge of feature films and/or television (past and present).Pop culture and social media awareness.Excellent communication skills - Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, in person, on the telephone and in writingStrong critical thinking and persuasion skills.Knowledge of story structure.Strong background in creative analysis, script reading and providing notes.Ability to generate creative ideas for projects.Exceptional interpersonal skills with a collaborative working style.Must be able to work well under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.Ability to multi-task, organize and schedule work effectively.Must be detail-oriented.Must be able to work flexible hours, if and when necessary.

  The Legal Bits...

  In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $83,090.00 - $154,310.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
