  As a Director of Technical Program Management , you will be the owner and driver of several complex programs , forming a portfolio of efforts to meet the business goals that support the strategic vision of Walmart's People Technology organization .

   What you'll do :

  Create the program structure and shared alignment with the program team across Walmart on vision, strategy, business goals and requirements, and secure cross-functional teams dependencies' commitment. Lead executive committee meetings with key stakeholders to help make key decisions, remove obstacles, and address key program issues Provide ongoing visibility to program status (key decisions, dependencies, issues, risks, metrics, etc.) to all stakeholders Anticipate and aggressively remove risks that slow down or prevent program teams from delivering on program outcomes throughout the entire development lifecycle. Collaborate with multiple technology teams to ensure APIs and system interfaces are designed to meet the long term program goals. Create a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity, speed, innovation, and learning. Hire, manage, and grow a team of technical program managers.

   What you'll bring :

  Have an entrepreneurial mindset that focuses on putting the customer first 10+ years of Program Management experience in a related industry (experience owning a program/product/feature, scoping requirements, planning milestones, project management and working with technical teams) Experience managing and mentoring junior technical program managers 7+ years of experience leading software development projects with aggressive schedules and large business impact Strong communicator in both verbal and written forms and are equally adept in communicating upwards, outwards, and downward Lead senior committee meetings with key stakeholders to help make key decisions, remove obstacles, and address key program issues 7+ years of experience with Agile development methodologies (i.e., Scrum, Kanban etc.) Provide on-going visibility to program status (key decisions, dependencies, issues, risks, metrics, etc.) to all stakeholders Anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that slow down or prevent program teams from delivering on program outcomes Strong Experience with project delivery for large, mission-critical, cross-functional projects Strong analytical and problem-solving skills A passion for data-driven decision-making

  Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

  The annual salary range for this position is $156,000.00-$312,000.00

  Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

  Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

  - Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

  - Stock equity incentives

  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related area and 7 years' experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.

  • Option 2: 9 years' experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.
