Maintain Quality Service and Departmental Standards by reading, understanding, and adhering to organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), assisting in establishing and enforcing departmental standards, participating in the modification of company SOPs related to the departmentOversee operational efficiency, maintain quality and timeliness of data and statistical deliverables, and optimize resource utilization.Support and oversee off-shore and outsource resources as needed to supplement in-house capacity for project delivery.Develop and manage annual budgets for Clinical Statistics Programming with the Senior Director of Clinical Biostatistics.Support research and innovation, ensuring Cardiac Safety is on the leading edge of both clinical and academic industry methodology.Attend industry conferences and trainings.Work with business development to identify new business opportunities pertaining to the application of Clario's data science and biostatistics capabilities.Maintain knowledge and awareness of developments in data science and statistics, clinical trial design, and regulatory requirements that impact analysis methodologies.Report to senior management regarding the conduct, efficiencies, and metrics for Cardiac Safety data science and biostatistics department performance.Assist in standardizing and optimizing processes within the Cardiac Safety data science and biostatistics and collaborate with other groups at Clario.Assist in evaluating the development of new tools and technology that would increase efficiency and accuracy within the department.When requested, assist in long-range strategic planning, development of departmental business plan, and departmental budget.Support Business Development with bid preparation and participate in business development and scientific meetings with potential clients.Provides data/statistical analysis consultation and reviews and/or approves documents related to project activities.Provides data consultation on issues related to the design, analysis, and interpretation of clinical trials in a variety of therapeutic areas.Participates in business development activities, including presentations of capabilities and research proposals to prospective clients.Reviewed and approve time and resource assumptions in business development proposals involving Clinical Statistics.Secondary ResponsibilitiesExplore new opportunities to add value to organization and departmental processesHelp internal and external customers to achieve resultsCommunicate with different internal departments regarding deliverables, data discrepancies, and issues needing resolutionAttend project specific, system and team focused trainingsHelp in training employees on macros, infrastructureDevelop people, skills in coaching, mentoring, and teaching on the job.Identify and recruit talent, including identifying right people for both technical and non-technical jobs.Help performance management, recognizing and rewarding performance and identifying development needs.Assist in building trust, respect and cooperation among teams.QualificationsAdditional qualifications:Additional responsibilities include reporting and analysis of related trends; managing escalations for related queries; working with Payroll colleagues to support related queries; utilizing tech to improve service delivery and process improvements.Education:MS in statistics, biostatistics, engineering (or related field), Ph.D. preferred.Experience:At least 5+ years of management experience and 10+ years in data analysis for clinical research preferred.Proven record of leadership training and experience.Demonstrated expertise via peer-reviewed publication track record in the areas of human movement data analysis and interpretation.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Familiarity with the clinical trials environment.EEO Sta ementClario is an equal opportunity employer.
