  Job Overview:

  The Director Quality Operations role requires comprehensive Operations, management, and business expertise. They lead through subordinate managers of managers and execute functional business plans, and contribute to the development of functional strategy. They direct the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems that have implications beyond their function. The Director Quality Operations applies broad industry and commercial awareness to drive financial and operational performance and influence customer relationships.

  Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  Drive QHSES strategic thinking and action

  Ensure QHSES strategies are communicated effectively and understood across the organization

  Support the development and implementation of the tools and process required to support the QHSES function

  Measure and continuously improve the effectiveness of the QHSES function and process

  Responsible for QHSES functional budgets within the Area

  Monitor for effectiveness and assist in the implementation of the Business Management System

  Prepare annual QHSES program and activity plans

  Maintain adequate levels of competent QHSES personnel within the area

  Develop and maintenance of Area Certifications such as ISO, ASME, SSPC, etc.

  Perform QHSES Assurance activities to ensure effective implementation of processes across the organization

  Ensure effective tracking and sharing of lessons learned and best practices to drive improvement and learning

  Support the measure and analysis of QHSES non-conformities within the area

  Engage in Project Reviews for monitoring of QHSES performance and involvement with needed support

  Develop, implement, and maintain a new Quality Management System consistent with ISO 9000

  Assist in leading the transition from legacy practices to an integrated, consistent, and consolidated business management system

  Lead collaboration efforts for the development of quality-related execution strategies to improve operational effectiveness and profitability

  Deliver and maintain the tools and processes required to support the Quality function globally

  Develop goals and objectives for the Global Quality Management Organization

  Contribute to ensuring effective budgetary control within the Quality functional budgets globally across the organization

  Manage and coordinate the placement of Quality talent across the organization

  Essential Qualifications and Education:

  Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is preferred

  Over 15 years of experience within the Energy Industry through all phases of EPCI project delivery

  Extensive functional, business, industry, and leadership expertise

  Professional Membership of relevant institutions – QHSES

  Fabrication or EPC construction experience

  Ability to work as a team member as well as act as a team leader

  Have wide experience with technical activities, including fabrication activities

  Maintain key competencies associated with the QHSES function

  Conversant with local and international QHSES laws, regulations, and norms

  Communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken

  Computer literate in Microsoft programs: Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project
