What does the Director of Public Relations & Government Affairs - CentralRegion do at Swire Coca-Cola?
Working in a multi-state geography, the Director will support our businessoperations by raising the company's visibility building and maintaining keyrelationships and growing our government affairs capabilities. The Directorwill represent and protect the company's interests with local, state,and federal officials, customers, trade associations and communitypartners. The position requires a dynamic leader equipped with excellentcommunications skills who understands political and legislative implicationsof Company and industry actions. Operating in a highly polarized and chargedenvironment, the Director will balance the different actors and actionswithin the political spectrum, providing on-the-ground crisis and incidentmanagement to impacted territories while serving as media spokesperson, asneed
Responsibilities:Build, preserve, and improve relationships with key government agencies,government officials, industry associations, NGOs, community opinionleaders, as well as with other relevant constituencies, includingup-and-coming leaders to shape their perceptions of Swire Coca-ColaProvide strategic counsel to industry campaigns, lobbyists, tradeassociations and consultants on company's positions on tax and regulatorythreats, proposed bans and other legislative and public policy challengesServe as part of the Central Region leadership team participating in trainingand business team meetings to align with operational objectives and to serveas an SME on items related to public relations and government affairsRecommend, activate, track, and report on suggested memberships,contributions, and other community participation by the CompanyCoordinate with other parts of the function including Communications,Sustainability and Strategic Partnerships to bring priorities to life in theCentral Region; serve as territory owner for the functionProvide crisis and incident management support to all parts of the business inthe regionBe accountable for ongoing public relations and community relations activitiesin assigned geography
Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in political science, public relations, communicationsor similar. Required6+ years' experience working in government relations, public affairs,public relations, and/or on staff with an elected official requiredSignificant political campaign experience preferred (candidate, party,issue, ballot initiative, etc.)Relationships with key stakeholders in assigned geographyCrisis managementPosition to be based in Denver, Colorado. Other states of coverage includeUtah, Nevada, Wyoming (primary) and Nebraska, Kansas and SouthDakota (secondary)#LI-IB1
Base pay range is $119,380 to $164,146 plus bonusstructure(dependent on role). Pay offered will depend on candidate'sgeographic location, prior relevant experience, knowledge, skills, &abilities.
