Minimum qualifications:

　　15 years of experience in product management, engineering, and technology strategy roles within the consumer product space.

　　Experience building and scaling Platforms for developers and partners.

　　Experience building and launching mobile apps on iOS and Android.

　　Preferred qualifications:

　　Experience working collaboratively with multi-functional teams, including product work and outbound customer work.

　　Experience providing product roadmaps, directing consumer product launches across markets, and creating innovative products.

　　Knowledge of the market landscape.

　　Ability to prioritize and balance work and resources across teams while ensuring milestones are met on time and with quality standards.

　　Ability to lead, mentor, and grow a team of product managers, prioritizing leadership, innovative thinking, collaboration, and solving ambiguous problems.

　　As the Director of Product Management for the Home Developer Platform, you will build the first version of a Developer Platform for the Home. You will establish partnerships and understand the needs of both internal and external developers. You will drive all of the product strategy and definition for Home Platform APIs (Setup API, Devices and Services API, Automation API, etc.), Home Hubs (platform runtimes), and commitments to connectivity standards like Matter and Thread.

　　The Google Nest team focuses on hardware, software, and services for the home, ranging from Nest thermostats to Nest smart displays. The Google Nest team develops, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. 　　The US base salary range for this full-time position is $246,000-$361,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 　　Communicate with senior executives and stakeholders of the platform, from internal Google home, and app developers, smart home original equipment manufacturer (OEM) developers, mobile app developers, and service partners.

　　Communicate for the platform and be able to interface with the Press, executives within Google, and partner companies.

　　Lead and inspire a team of product managers, collaborate with cross-functional partners, Business Development, and Marketing in order to perfect the consumer experience.
