Summary Apex is a technology-enabled services company advancing value-based care for health systems, providers, and health plans. From our inception in 2019, we have developed a proprietary analytics and interoperability platform, ApexAscent™, to aggregate and harmonize disparate data sources, surface actionable analytics, and enable the deployment of key value-based care capabilities across disease burden capture, quality improvement, medical cost management, provider alignment, and patient experience. Today that solution manages more than 800,000 lives across some of the largest health systems and payers in the country. As we’ve grown to serve our health systema and plan clients, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Product to expand and deliver on our product strategy and roadmap. Working across our data science, interoperability, engineering, analytics, and growth teams, the Director of Product is the critical convener of cross-functional resources to drive the development of new analytics and value-based care capabilities driving sustained Apex growth and improve the health and financial outcomes of our clients. Essential Functions Develop and execute the Apex product roadmap across both ApexAscent™ analytics and value-based care capabilities Coordinate across internal development teams and partner companies and collaborate with our business and clinical leadership to ensure the roadmap delivers on significant value for health system, provider, and payer clients Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional leaders to gain a deep understanding of our operational challenges and opportunities Become a subject matter expert and trusted partner to business teams Develop and drive a product strategy that drives improved scale of our organization Distill the strategy into actionable concepts, timelines, and projects Make prioritization decisions to best utilize resources and make the case for new investments when appropriate Evaluate existing and potential partner technology companies to add to the expansive Apex partner portfolio Manage a team of Product Managers and lead a set of scrum teams to develop new application functionality and enterprise technology solutions to drive business goals Define metrics, measure results, make decisions based on data, and make adjustments to plans based on quantitative and qualitative signals Communicate regularly with stakeholders, product leads, and executive leadership to keep the organization apprised of strategy, efforts and progress against goals Lead regular product roadmap / steering committee meetings Candidate Qualifications 10+ years of experience in Product Management or relevant industry experience Experience in a healthcare domain, preferably with value-based care focus Experience building cloud-based products in an Agile environment Experience overseeing the day-to-day execution of one or more scrum teams who are building a cloud-based Population Health management tool Experience partnering with third-party technology vendors to drive interoperating capabilities Experience driving the discovery process in partnership with client stakeholders, technical architects, subject-matter experts, and clinical resources Experience collaborating with client managers and leadership Experience creating, maintaining, and enhancing business relationships and communicating effectively with senior management Willingness to travel to customer sites, as requested
