Basic Purpose: The Director of Safety & Compliance is responsible for assisting the sales team in discovery and providing recommendations to current and potential customers of TVC Pro-Driver. They will define the “as is” and “to be” recommendations for fleets to improve their safety processes and procedures. They are involved in multiple aspects of the prospect buying journey to uncover areas that TVC Pro-Driver can help provide a rapid return on investment. In addition to supporting sales efforts, the Director of Safety & Compliance will also assist in creating and delivering guidance to customers, as well as building out processes within the internal operations team and ensuring the team follows the appropriate guidelines.
Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Assist in pre-sales efforts by leveraging a consultative approach to discovery
Build out corrective action plans for fleets to improve safety processes and procedures
Participate in state and national tradeshows to generate enterprise leads by appropriately managing the existing relationships and by using networking contacts
Stay involved in industry events and stay up to speed on latest industry trends, serving as a subject matter expert in various forums including company webinars, blogs, newsletters and speaking engagements
Work alongside operational team to assist in execution of prescribed corrective action plans for fleet customers, tracking and reporting on positive results from prescribed changes
Maintain strong business relationships with clients to help improve retention rates, clearly contributing to the overall perceived return-on-investment
Understand the needs of the company and participate in sales meetings and training programs to grow and enhance TVCs commitment to fleet safety
Keep abreast of the latest trends and stay ahead of the competitors and their products by conducting proper industry research

Education and Experience:
Education Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree in business management, administration, sales management, economics, or any other relevant field.
Professional Experience
10+ years of experience in the transportation industry with a focus on safety
Skills and Physical Demands:

Strong background in safety within the field of transportation
Self-motivated and have the ability to handle high pressure situations
Strong presentation and communication skills
Ability to work in a target-oriented environment
Proficient in customer centric selling and an understanding of the challenger sale methodology
Strong oral and written communication skills
Physical Requirements:
Frequent travel is required
Hours per week may be extended past 40 hours depending on meetings, conferences, and travel requirements
