rrPosition Summary:
rThe Director of Foundation Relations in University Advancement, closelypartnering with the Office of Research and Economic Development, isresponsible for engaging and managing the university\'s top andaspirational private foundations to maximize investment in theUniversity of Idaho\'s strategic research and academic priorities.Additionally, the director will partner with the Office of the Provost,the UI Foundation as well as colleges and units across the university todevelop strong relationships, strategies and compelling proposals thatstrategically align the University of Idaho\'s priorities with privatefoundation program interests. The director will initiate and conductuniversity leadership and faculty as appropriate. The director willresearch grant opportunities, work alongside leadership and key facultyto develop proposals, and provide stewardship reports to demonstrate theimpact of private grants. The Director of Foundation Relations willreport to the Associate Vice President for Development.

Bachelors Degree{=html}<>- Five years experience in grant writing, fundraising, outside sales or constituent-based outreach- Planning and implementing projects including managing the development of projects, timelines, assessment and reporting

Private grant setting including experience in corporate relationfundraisingExtensive major gift fundraisingPublic relations or marketingProgram development and proposal writing{=html}<>- Organizational, interpersonal and collaborative skills- Strong verbal and written communication skills- Comprehensive knowledge of development activities, preferably in higher education- Demonstrated ability in strategic planning- Strong verbal presentation skills- Understanding of the corporate contribution process- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and other, such as volunteers, prospective corporate partners and donors- Demonstrated ability to facilitate multi-faceted conversations among administration and faculty
