EWASTE+ focuses on the recovery of value from idle, obsolete and excess electronic equipment and operates a large-scale processing facility in Victor, New York (near Rochester) and two regional consolidation facilities in Albany and New York City. Description
As our EWASTE+ Controller you will have direct management responsibility for the accounting department and business administration. You will be responsible for analyzing the financial status of the organization and work with the Leadership Team and other management personnel to develop and carry out long-term financial goals. You will have direct responsibility for the preparation of all financial reports, statements, audits, operating budgets, and controls and will work directly with all other departments to contribute to the development and implementation of strategies, policies and practices for operational excellence.
Oversees the activities of accounts receivable to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components; including billing and sales orders and establishes and maintains collection procedures.
Oversees and ensures the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, employee expense reports, and cash control.
Oversees banking relationships, maintaining lines of credit, bank reconciliations, PayPal, and credit card accounts.
Supervises accounting / administrative team members
Prepares monthly financials statements, KPIs, and management discussion and analysis reports reporting on the prior months results.
Assists with the preparation of quarterly board meeting presentations and supporting financial analysis and reports.
Works with the Vice President to develop and carry out short-term and long-term financial goals and plans for major capital investment.
Leads management team in developing a yearly operating budget and institutes control metrics to monitor budgetary goals.
Prepares frequent reports on corporation’s financial performance and assists other departments with personnel and financial needs.
Works with outside CPA firm to ensure that all tax returns, financial reports, and registrations are filed in a timely manner.
Opportunity to revamp and rework all financial reporting functions to improve efficiency.
Pay Range:$73,000 - $110,000

Position Requirements
Specific Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance – MBA preferred.
10 years of hands-on accounting managerial experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
Meticulously Organized and Detail Oriented.
Preferred Skills:
CPA Certification
Experience with Merger and Acquisitions
