As the Director of Enterprise networking, you will be a key leader responsible for the design, implementation, and management of our enterprise-networking infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our network, enabling seamless communication across our products, partners, and clients. Jack Henry's network infrastructure extends from our datacenter environment to millions of users at our financial institution customers. You'll be the leader of it all, driving strategy and best practices and ensuring that we are utilizing our people and technology to provide the foundational network platform.
This environment is highly complex and candidates should have proven experience in similar Service Provider type environments. This role will provide a challenge to motivated candidates that seek to make a difference and drive outcomes. As a Technology Solutions Provider to the Financial Services industry, Jack Henry’s network plays a foundational role in delivering solutions to customers, clients, and end users. A successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, biased towards action, with passion for results and exceptional communication skills.
This position can be based to work out of any Jack Henry office or remotely from any US location.
What you'll be responsible for:
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for ongoing improvements to the network function, aligning to business objectives and outcomes.
Network Architecture: Partnering with the IT Architecture function, design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient connectivity solutions to meet the growing demands of the organization.
Team Leadership: At Jack Henry, we work to put our people first! Lead and inspire a team of talented network professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Infrastructure Management: Ensure the right policies, processes, and practices are in place to ensure successful operational outcomes.
Budgeting & Financial Management: Develop and maintain Financial Budgets and Forecasts. Management of Operational and Capitalized spending plans.
Stakeholder Management: Build partnerships throughout the organization, establishing Trust and Transparency.
Work within our technical environment which includes the following
Datacenter routing and switching – Cisco ACI, Nexxus, ISR, ASR, NCS, and Arista platforms
Dynamic Multipoint VPN (DM-VPN)
WAN backbone - MPLS provider
Highly complex routing architectures utilizing multiple routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and HA configurations
May perform other job duties as assigned.
What you'll need to have:
A minimum of 12 years of experience in network administration and/or engineering.
A minimum of 4 years of experience as a director, manager, and/or supervisor.
Must have leadership experience in an enterprise, service provider, or MSP environment.
Experience with MPLS WAN environments.
Experience within an enterprise networking environment including datacenters.
Ability to travel up to 15% for team meetings, conferences, vendor meetings, and visits to infrastructure sites.
What would be nice for you to have:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or engineering.
Cisco ACI experience.
Arista datacenter networking experience.
Network Automation and Orchestration experience.
Experience with Public Cloud connectivity solutions such as Google Cloud Interconnect, AWS Direct Connect, and Azure ExpressRoute.
Experience in a Service Provider environment that includes 24x7x365 delivery of network-dependent services.
Cisco certifications (CCIE, CCNP) or Arista certifications.
