Corporate Finance – Director Level
As a Director of Corporate Finance, you will support the VP of Corporate Finance with Corporate overhead rates and other finance analysis and reporting. Overall responsibility includes indirect rate development, management, forecasting, variance analysis and other related financial reporting. In conjunction with the VP of Corporate Finance, you will be responsible for collaborating with Sector Finance Leads to assist in managing their indirect rates, developing what if analyses, and communicating overall general guidance related to overhead rates. Other responsibilities include responding to various requests for data collection and consolidation, developing financial models and reports, and supporting Corporate initiatives that improve business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development of the overhead rates for the Sector, in conjunction with the VP of Corporate Finance and the Sector Finance Leads
Support annual financial planning process, monthly forecasting and financial close reporting requirements, particularly as applies to indirect rates
Work with the Sector finance team to ensure integrity of program data and attribute tagging
Develop and validate supporting documentation for the indirect rate submission to government agencies in conjunction with internal finance and compliance teams
Manage preparation of financial data for senior management, to include:
Monthly rate report analysis for the Sector
Monthly Sector Financial Reporting
Sector data variance analysis for the quarterly earnings call
Compile, analyze, interpret and report various financial data, to include monthly and quarterly external indirect rate reporting
Create and maintain documentation of processes and procedures
Recommend and implement process improvements and efficiencies
Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting via SmartView, Excel and COGNOS
Collect, organize, correlate, and report on data from various sources in an effective, concise manner
Mentor and provide guidance and oversight to team members
Prepare financial models to support business planning exercises
Support special rate studies used to determine the impacts of future business actions, which requires knowledge of accounting principles, business strategy and financial management
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 12+ years relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar field
Experience at a government services contractor in a Finance role
Proficiency with Excel functions at an advanced level, including linked workbooks, large multi-worksheet models, lookups, and pivot tables
Understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) & Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
Proficiency with financial and accounting reporting systems
Demonstrated ability to balance competing and changing priorities, move quickly amongst various taskings, and meet deadlines
Adept at working independently as well as in a team environment
Professional/effective communication – written and oral
Possession of excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to consider and identify innovative solutions to improve operational efficiencies
Preferred Skills:
Solid understanding of financial statements
Working knowledge of Accounting
Working knowledge of financial reporting systems such as Costpoint, Oracle/Hyperion Financial, COGNOS, SmartView
Experience with DCMA/DCAA data calls and audits
