  The role you’ll contribute: Responsible for direction of patient care in the cancer services and infusion center environments. Manages clinical staff members in all four of the oncology/infusion centers. Consults with staff, physicians and Nurse Executive on nursing issues and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in quality improvement activities. Collaborates with hospital clinical directors ensuring a coordinated, multi-disciplinary approach to cancer care. Directly manages clinical nurse managers, nurse navigators, licensed social workers, nurse educators, and clinical research staff. Formulates budget for departments while collaborating with those department managers. Develops and achieves department goals and objectives to ensure quality patient care and financial success.

  Responsible to build his/her team. Set high standards and demand performance which meets or exceeds.

  Oversees all employee management within the Oncology service line including: hiring, firing, performance reviews, and disciplinary action

  Formulates budget for department.

  Directs action toward supervision of nursing care given to patients within the oncology offices according to nursing principles.Provides for safe transportation of all patients to and from Surgical Services Department.

  Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.

  Qualifications

  Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

  Bachelor of Science in Nursing or currently enrolled in a BSN program with a completion date within 12 months of hire.

  Master’s degree in related field or enrollment in MSN program within 6 months of completion of BSN.

  At least 2 years of nursing management experience

  At least 2 years of experience in Oncology nursing
