In this position, you will be responsible for marketing, sales, anddeveloping business opportunities and relationships with potential CesiumAstrocustomers. The area of responsibility for this role is broad and requires awide range of knowledge about the space industry, telecommunication and RFelectronic products, technology commercialization, market analysis,relationship management, and strategic planning.
Daily responsibilities include developing and continuously updating thecommercial and DOD aerospace telecommunication electronics market potentialand trends, identifying opportunities, writing and submitting RFI and RFPresponses, visiting existing and potential customers, interfacing withengineering and product development staff to articulate market gaps anddemands, assisting in the strategic and R&D roadmaps for the company,and ultimately leading the top line revenue growth for the company.
The successful candidate will be highly experienced in aerospace electronicssales and marketing, particularly RF and telecommunications equipment. Theideal candidate is extremely organized, articulate, flexible, quick tograsp business needs, a team player, an excellent written and oralcommunicator, and eager to learn.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in a technical or business-related discipline from anaccredited college or university.Minimum 10 years of relevant business development experiences in space oraerospace industry segments.In-depth knowledge of market analytics and technology planning andcommercializationDirect and support new business development opportunities to improve thecompany's business portfolio to include marketing and customer call plans.Experience leading opportunity captures including developing overall winstrategy; shaping deals with customers; developing teaming strategies;identifying and closing with teammates; and understanding pricing and assistin developing winning proposals.Demonstrated background in solution selling and developing new markets withproven leadership from inception to successful engagement of a strategiccampaign.Knowledge of Government contracting and current acquisition trends andcustomer buying behaviors.Prior experience developing business with government and DoD customers.Proven ability to develop and execute business plans.Strong oral and written communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Strong interpersonal and professional skills.A positive, team-player attitude.Effective presentation skills and experience leading customer meetings.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCEBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.MBA degree.Experience with the New Space industry.Experience with the aerospace telecommunications industry.Experience with startups. Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
$185,000 - $230,000 a year
