　　Job Summary

　　The Director of Nursing in collaboration with VP of Patient Care Services/CNO and appropriate interdisciplinary team members, is responsible for assuring that services are provided in a safe, efficient, and cost effective manner that enhances patient, staff, and physician satisfaction.

　　The Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for the delivery of patient care, collaborating with the care team throughout the unit, mentoring new employees, mangaging and helping with admits, discharges and deliveries, managing day to day operations, enhancing quality measures, providing direction of activities for all staff members, education specific to all Case Management/Social Work, Emergency Room/Trauma, House Supervisors, Intensive Care Unit, Med Surgical/Pediatrics, Outpatient Treatment Center (OTC), Kidney Dialysis Unit (KDU), and Women’s Center and policy management.

　　The Director of Nursing is guided by professional nursing standards and will demonstrate effective leadership skills.

　　Job responsibilities may include other duties as assigned by leadership.

　　Education and/or Experience Licensure/Certification/Registration

　　Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a Bachelor’s Degree in Registered Nursing

　　Master’s degree is preferred.

　　Current Licensure by South Dakota Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure required.

　　5 years acute care RN experience required.

　　3-5 years of management experience preferred.

　　Work Schedule

　　Monday – Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks

　　Day shifts

　　Occasional weekend

　　Occasional holiday

　　Occasional call time

　　Salaried Exempt
